About Afridence
Evidence shouldn't be a guess dressed up in a chart.
Afridence was built because too many decisions in Africa — in government, in development, in business — are still made on data no one has verified. We exist to change what 'evidence' means on this continent.
Research Has a Trust Problem
A survey is only as good as the people who answered it. Across much of Africa's research industry, that fact gets treated as a footnote instead of a foundation. Participants are recruited informally, quality checks happen after fieldwork ends — not during it.
The cost isn't abstract. A ministry designs a policy around a flawed baseline. A donor funds a programme based on an evaluation that overstates impact. A company enters a market on consumer insight that reflects a sample, not a population.
Why Afridence Exists
Afridence is not a research agency that added technology later. It was built from the start as research infrastructure — a verified participant network, monitoring tools, and AI-assisted operations, designed to make evidence traceable from the first respondent to the final report.
Our Mission
To make research in Africa faster, more representative, and fully verifiable — so that the organisations shaping policy, markets, and public life can act on evidence instead of assumption.
Our Vision
A future where African data informs African decisions — built, verified, and owned on the continent it describes, and trusted anywhere in the world it is presented.
Our Values
Verification over convenience — we recruit for accuracy, not speed.
Transparency over polish — clients see fieldwork as it happens, not just the report at the end of it.
Rigour over shortcuts — every methodology is built to withstand scrutiny from a peer reviewer, a funder, or a board.
People before data points — every participant is a person, not a row in a spreadsheet.
Usefulness over volume — we measure success by decisions our evidence improved, not the number of reports we produced.
Why Organisations Trust Us
Because we show our work.
Afridence clients don't just receive findings — they see how those findings were produced. Verified participant credentials. Real-time fieldwork visibility. Methodology documented well enough to defend in front of a funder, a regulator, or a board.
Evidence you can stand behind.
If your next decision depends on research you can defend — to a funder, a minister, a board, or a market — let's talk about how Afridence can build it.
